Anneline, our Coordinator here at Cobh FRC was among the representatives of Family Resource Centre's from around the country at a recent presentation to politicians at Dáil Eireann. The presentation was given by The Family Resource Centre National Forum who represent 108 TUSLA funded centres around the country, Cobh FRC being one of them. The main issues highlighted were lack a of funding for vital FRC services, and failure to reinstate increments in FRC staff salaries which were paused during the financial crisis back in 2009. Due to reduced funding, centres have been under increased pressure to fundraise locally and make cut backs in order to continue to provide vital services and activities in the community. We feel it is important to let our users and community know about these issues and hope that you support our position. We will keep you informed of any future national developments. You can also follow the Family Resource Centre National Forum on their Facebook page to keep up to date at www.facebook.com/frcnf/ .
