Information about the after school programme:
- We operate an After school club for school going children between 5 years-12 years of age.
- Cobh FRC After school programme is run from 1.30 to 5.30 pm, Monday to Thursday
- Afternoon snack is provided
- Our After School programme is part funded by the DCYA and Pobal. The Community Childcare Subvention (CCS) Programme provides support for parents by enabling qualifying parents to avail of reduced childcare costs at participating community childcare services such as Cobh FRC.
- While staff will offer help and assistance to the children while doing homework, we cannot guarantee that all homework will be completed. Children will be encouraged to do written homework first and then to do learning, e.g. tables, spellings at home.
- While each child will be provided with a quiet space and encouraged to do their homework, it is ultimately the parent’s/ guardians responsibility to ensure that their child has their homework completed for the following school day.
- We do not sign children’s homework notebooks to say that work is completed.
Summer Camp
We also run summer camps for children at very affordable costs.
Activities are organised on team building and developing the children’s social skills for example a sports day, arts and crafts, baking, day outings to BounceZone, Cinema, swimming pool, Fota Wildlife Park etc. All outings are of course subject to change each year. Please call the centre on 021-4816103 to inquire about the Summer Camps as spaces are very limited. The contact form below is not a booking form for the Summer Camp.
