We are delighted to be involved once again in the 2018 Cobh Lifelong Festival due to take place over 2 days on March 22nd and 23rd, 2018. The festival, which is in association with Cork ETB and the Cork Lifelong Learning Week, is all about celebrating learning for all ages. In the past the Cobh Lifelong Learning Festival has included activities and workshops such as 3D printing, Internet safety workshops, reflexology demo's, genealogy talks, photography walking tours and much more. All events are free to attend. If you have a business or group in Cobh, and you would like to put on an activity or event please download the form below and resend to us. All events will be included in a fabulous brochure which will be circulated around Cobh and Midleton in the lead up to the event. There is no charge to get involved. FREE Carbon Monoxide alarms are back! As part of our Care & Repair voluntary service in conjunction with Age Action we have a limited supply of high quality carbon monoxide alarms for people aged 65 yrs or over. Carbon Monoxide is a clear, odourless, poisonous gas which can be lethal. To arrange for our volunteers to come and install your alarm please call Stephanie at the centre on 021-48103. Cobh Family Resource Centre is seeking applications for qualified and experienced childcare/ youth workers to join the relief panel for 2017-2018 to assist the Afterschool Programme with part-time cover. Hours will be determined by the needs of the Service.

Cobh Family Resource Centre will be hosting a session on ways to save money on your household bills and also benefit the environment at the same time. The informal session will be facilitated by members of the Cork Environmental Forum as part of the Global Action Plan- Greener Living Programme. The course address topics of waste, water, energy, transport, consumerism, food, biodiversity and community. Participants who undertake the actions covered in the course can expect to significantly reduce their bills over the course of a year.
