Cobh Family Resource Centre was founded in 1998 by a local group of volunteers. The Centre values volunteers and offers opportunities for volunteers to become involved in day to day activities and events.

The Centre is managed by a group of Volunteers who make up the Voluntary Board of Management. This Committee meets monthly and more frequently if needed to support the Coordinator in ensuring the Centre is meeting the needs of the community.

​Those on the Voluntary Board of Management are non-paid Directors of the Centre. They come from various backgrounds and have the interest of the community at heart.
